Job description

E&I Supervisor required for 6-7 weeks to work on Rio Tinto's Western Range shutdown in the Pilbara Region of WA. 

The Role
  • Supervising works to ensure all is completed to statutory, client, and company specifications
  • Monitoring progress against the work schedule
  • Record and monitor team members performance, provide mentorship, and address issues where necessary
  • Incident investigation and reporting
  • Ensuring adherence to all statutory requirements and company HSEQ standards and procedures

Scope of works
  • Deconstruction of existing conveyor drives, pulleys, structural steel, platework, ducting and piping.
  • Installation of new equipment into an existing plant includes.
    • Conveyor drives
    • Conveyor pulleys
    • Conveyor idlers and frames.
    • Water and air piping.
    • Dust collection duct work.
    • Structural steel e.g. platforms columns bracing, handrails and grid mesh.
    • Conveyor belt installation.

Skills & Qualifications
  • Supervisory experience ideally on major oil & gas/mining/resources projects
  • Bachelor Degree Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation or related field)
  • Rio Inducted
  • Able to remain calm under pressure and to lead by example
  • Proven track record of meeting project deadlines and delivering high-quality work
