Contracts Administrator (Civil Construction and Remediation)
 
Join Australia’s leading environmentally focussed main contractor who specialise in the delivery of civil, remediation and environmental projects. Typical projects are valued in the region of $10m - $100m and involve civil construction elements such as bulk / detailed earthworks, piling, excavation, civil infrastructure, soil remediation etc.
 
The business has cultivated strong client relationships in the defence, mining and resources sectors and are in the process of establishing a self-sustaining WA business unit with support from the East Coast business which has been trading for over 20 years. Following recent tender success they have an opportunity for an experienced Contract Administrator to lead all contractual aspects of a $40m earthworks / remediation project for BHP located in Port Hedland.
 
This is a growth opportunity with excellent career prospects within a newly established WA regional business unit. There is also flexibility on offer for the successful candidate with the option to either be Perth based out of our clients Burswood offices (and conduct site visits when required) or to work on a 10:4 FIFO roster and earn an additional 20% site uplift.
 
Candidate Criteria:
 
- A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- BHP experience (desirable).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office & Project.
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
- At least 5 years experience as a Contracts Administration / Quantity Surveyor experience within the civil construction or resources industries.
- Proven experience in the preparation of contract agreements.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and SharePoint.
- Working knowledge of risk management principles and application of process.
