Our client is a highly respected Project Management consultancy that is seeking a talented Contract Administrator to join their team to work alongside a Tier 1 builder on two landmark critical infrastructure projects in Sydney—a cutting-edge Data Centre and a new build Hospital development.
About the Role:
As a Contract Administrator, you’ll play a key role in the successful delivery of these complex projects. Reporting directly to the Project Director, your focus will be on managing contracts, administering variations and progress claims, assessing subcontractor payments, and procuring trades, specifically within the civil and excavation package scope.
This is a hands-on site-based position that offers the rare opportunity to transition into a client-side role in the future, making it ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career with a long-term view. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and manage construction contracts in accordance with relevant legislation and project requirements
- Coordinate procurement activities for subcontractors and trades
- Prepare, assess, and negotiate progress and variation claims
- Support the project team in ensuring timely delivery and compliance across all contract elements
- Liaise with project stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to maintain strong working relationships
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Contract Administrator or Project Coordinator in civil or excavation projects
- Proven experience working on site in liver environments
- Strong understanding of contract law, claims assessment, and project cost management
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
