Job description

Construction Project Manager for TfNSW

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Construction Project Manager to work on a $200 million new bridge construction project based in Dubbo. This is a site-based role with occasional work on Saturdays. The successful candidate will manage a tier 2 principle contractor, and previous TfNSW experience is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the construction project and ensure it is completed on time, within budget and to a high standard
  • Manage the principle contractor and ensure they deliver on their contractual obligations
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders including TfNSW, contractors, engineers, and consultants
  • Monitor and report on project progress, risks and issues
  • Ensure compliance with TfNSW policies and procedures, relevant standards, and regulations
  • Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials • Ensure quality control and safety on site
  • Liaise with the community and other stakeholders as required
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Previous experience managing large construction projects, preferably with TfNSW
  • Knowledge and experience of GC21 contracting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to lead and manage a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Relevant degree or qualification in Engineering, Construction Management or related field
