About the Role
A well-established commercial joinery company in the Liverpool area is seeking a skilled and reliable machinist to join its factory team. This role involves operating and maintaining CNC and other automated woodworking machinery to produce high-quality joinery components.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC machinery, including: SCM nesting machines, Biesse CNC routers & Edgebanders (e.g. Stefani)
• Read and interpret shop drawings and production plans
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine faults or operational issues
• Maintain accurate output and material records
• Collaborate with production and assembly teams to ensure workflow efficiency
• Follow all safety procedures and WHS standards

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience operating CNC and woodworking machinery in a joinery or cabinetmaking environment
• Strong understanding of machine functions, programming basics, and troubleshooting
• Hands-on experience with SCM and/or Biesse CNC equipment. Edgebanders (particularly Stefani or similar brands)
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Basic mechanical skills - capable of fixing minor issues in-house
