Job description

We are looking for an experienced contact centre operator who has an extensive background in customer service, preferably within a contact centre environment. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate customer service officer who enjoys interacting with customers to provide the best possible customer experience.

The Client:
Our Client administers state taxation and revenue for, and on behalf of, the people of NSW. They manage fines and administer grants and subsidies to provide valuable assistance to the community and businesses across NSW. They also recover the debt to provide an equitable outcome for the community.

Primary Purpose of the Role:
Provide service, information and assistance to client/customers on a wide range of matters. Assist with enquiries, complaints, correspondence, documentation, processing, lodgement and resolution of issues to contribute to the operations of the Business Unit in line with legislative requirements.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver efficient and effective customer service within a high-volume, high-pressure call centre environment
  • Respond to all enquiries from external and internal clients/customers, whilst educating them on legislation, procedures, their rights and responsibilities to raise community awareness
  • Ensure all contact with clients/customers are accurately captured and appropriate policies and procedures are adopted for triage, resolutions, referral or escalation
  • Operating the contact centre telephone and other communication systems
  • Dealing effectively with enquiries and complaints from customers that may present with uncooperative, disruptive or abusive behaviour
  • Provide administrative services, respond to enquiries and complete a range of processing activities with accuracy and efficiency
  • Hours of work: 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week

MUST HAVE:
  • Eligibility to work full-time in Australia
  • The ability to work 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
  • MUST NOT HAVE ANY HOLIDAYS PLANNED OR BOOKED WITHIN THE NEXT 6 MONTHS
  • Previous experience in customer service is ESSENTIAL
