With a reputation for innovation, sustainability, and exceptional design, their products feature in some of the country's most iconic commercial, education, healthcare, and government projects.
Now in a strong growth phase, they're looking to appoint a Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive client engagement across NSW, focusing on the architectural and design community.

About the Role

This is a client-facing, relationship-driven role, suited to a self-motivated BDM who thrives on getting out in front of clients and specifying premium products into complex commercial builds.

You'll be responsible for nurturing and growing relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 architects, designers, builders, and specifiers across the NSW region, with the goal of getting products into the front end of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and manage relationships with architects, designers, builders, and commercial contractors
  • Drive product specifications at the design and early documentation stage
  • Present product solutions, acoustic performance options, finishes, and fire rating details
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of projects, specifications, and contacts
  • Collaborate with estimating, production, and technical teams to ensure smooth project delivery
  • Regularly travel to client sites, meetings, and industry events (majority of time will be on the road)
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and follow up on leads and opportunities
  • Represent the brand at trade shows, networking functions, and client presentations

Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who can confidently walk into a top-tier architect's office and build trust and interest.
  • Proven experience in business development or specification sales in the architectural products, commercial fitout, or building materials space
  • A strong existing network of contacts within architecture and design (ideally Tier 1 and Tier 2 practices)
  • Knowledge of acoustic wall and ceiling systems, panelling, or interior architectural finishes
  • A polished, professional, and engaging communication style
  • Self-motivated and highly organised with the ability to manage your own schedule and territory
  • Comfortable spending most of your week on the road visiting clients
  • Experience using CRM tools to track activity and pipeline
