Afternoon Shift Maintenance Dual Trade (Electrical & Mechanical)
This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive tradesperson who thrives on fault finding, preventative maintenance and continuous improvement within a food production environment.
The Role
As a Dual Trade Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving electrical and mechanical plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient production outcomes with roughly a 50/50 split between mechanical and electrical.
Responsibilities:
- Full Time Permanent Position
- Arvo Shift – Monday to Friday 2pm-10pm + Lots of OT, weekends etc
- Also open to A-Grade with strong mechanical
- Location – Western Sydney
- Competitive Hourly Rate + Super + OT
- Must be Australian Citizen or PR

The Role
As a Dual Trade Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving electrical and mechanical plant equipment to ensure safe, reliable and efficient production outcomes with roughly a 50/50 split between mechanical and electrical.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to electrical and mechanical breakdowns to minimise downtime.
- Perform preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance using CMMS systems (SAP experience highly regarded).
- Maintain and optimise preventative maintenance programs.
- Inspect, test and troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Mechanical fault finding and breakdown repairs.
- Support site projects, equipment installations and plant upgrades.
- Modification and improvement of automated high-speed conveyors and processing equipment.
- TIG welding as required.
- Use RCA and continuous improvement tools to investigate recurring faults.
- Work collaboratively with Production, QA, Engineering and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with WHS, GMP and food safety standards.
- A-Grade Electrical license if essential.
- Australian recognised Dual Trade qualification (Electrical & Mechanical) highly desirable.
- Strong experience in FMCG or food manufacturing environments.
- Proven mechanical breakdown and fault-finding capability.
- Experience working with automated processing and conveying equipment.
- CMMS experience (SAP preferred).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
