Fire Protection contractor based in Western Sydney. Growing well in the commercial space and looking to expand their design capabilities. 

Tight knit team with great leadership and ambitious plans. 

Position Overview:

As a Sprinkler System Designer, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to create efficient, compliant, and effective fire protection solutions. You will work closely with the engineering team to design and plan sprinkler systems that adhere to the AS2118 sprinkler codes. The ideal candidate will have AutoCAD experience, with Revit skills considered a valuable bonus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize AutoCAD to design and draft sprinkler system plans.
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop sprinkler system layouts, hydraulic calculations, and specifications.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to AS2118 sprinkler codes and relevant industry standards.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather essential data for design purposes.
  • Prepare detailed drawings, documentation, and reports.
  • Assist in project coordination, including material procurement and client communication.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Wet fire design accreditation 
  • Proven experience in sprinkler system design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD is a must.
  • Familiarity with Revit is a bonus.
  • In-depth knowledge of AS2118 sprinkler codes and regulations.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in design work.
  • Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
