About the Role:
A leading national environmental services contractor is seeking an experienced and proactive Asbestos Supervisor to join their Darwin-based team. This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leadership role on a range of asbestos removal and remediation projects within the defence sector, based locally in the Darwin region.
In this position, you'll oversee licensed asbestos removal operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of compliance and professionalism.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take a leadership role on a range of asbestos removal and remediation projects within the defence sector, based locally in the Darwin region.
In this position, you'll oversee licensed asbestos removal operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of compliance and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Class A (friable and non-friable) asbestos removal works on defence and infrastructure projects
- Lead and coordinate site teams and subcontractors
- Conduct risk assessments, toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with WHS and NT WorkSafe regulations
- Manage site documentation including SWMS, clearance reports, and daily logs
- Communicate effectively with defence clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Maintain strict adherence to safety, security, and environmental standards required for defence works
- Class A Asbestos Supervisor License (NT-recognised)
- Minimum 5 years of asbestos removal experience, including supervision of friable works
- Previous experience working on defence-related projects is highly regarded
- White Card and current Driver’s License (manual preferred)
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Additional tickets such as First Aid, Confined Space, and Defence White Card are an advantage
- Must have full Australian working rights
- Salary of $140,000 to $150,000 + Superannuation
