Their client base includes residential builders, commercial development companies, industrial, government and urban land authorities, developers, and architects.
  
The Opportunity:
  
They are going through unprecedented growth across the Eastern Seaboard, none more so than in QLD. As such, they require a residential Design Engineer / Site Inspector to join the Residential and Medium Density Department in Brisbane.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assisting with the design & documentation of a range of building developments,
  • Conducting field inspections and the provision of engineering advice,
  • Recording communications and advice through emails & reports,
  • Ensuring all relevant information and forms are completed and submitted electronically,
  • Liaising with clients, drafters, builders, architects, council and other authorities.
  
Requirements:
  • Structural engineering experience 3+ years in residential and/or volume housing projects,
  • RPEQ qualification,
  • Structural engineering experience in medium density projects,
  • Experience working on residential footing/slab (raft and waffle) design, timber/steel residential framing design to triple storeys, suspended slab and extensions,
  • Strong time management/organisational skills,
  • The ability to work independently as well as in a team,
  • A good understanding of Australian Standards in relation to residential projects,
  • Strong time management/organisational skills,
  • Ability to utilise (or learn) IT cloud based software programs,
  • Open manual driving (car) licence.
