Job Title: Site Engineer / Quality Engineer
Location: Sydney
Position Type: Temp/contract - 9 months role

With a rich history of delivering cutting-edge projects, they are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Engineer/Quality Engineer to join their team on a major tunneling project. Key Responsibilities:
As a Site Engineer/Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our tunneling project. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting quality assurance and quality control activities for tunnelling, rock bolts, shotcrete, lighting, and civils works.
  • Performing regular site audits to identify deviations from project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality-related issues promptly.
  • Documenting all quality-related data and maintaining comprehensive records.
  • Developing and implementing quality control procedures and processes.
  • Providing technical guidance and training to site personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Participating in safety protocols and ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience working on tunneling projects, particularly in quality assurance and quality control roles.
  • Familiarity with tunnelling, rock bolts, shotcrete, lighting, and civils works.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards.
  • Certification in quality control and assurance is a plus.
