As a Site Engineer/Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our tunneling project. Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting quality assurance and quality control activities for tunnelling, rock bolts, shotcrete, lighting, and civils works.
- Performing regular site audits to identify deviations from project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to address quality-related issues promptly.
- Documenting all quality-related data and maintaining comprehensive records.
- Developing and implementing quality control procedures and processes.
- Providing technical guidance and training to site personnel to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Participating in safety protocols and ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations.
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience working on tunneling projects, particularly in quality assurance and quality control roles.
- Familiarity with tunnelling, rock bolts, shotcrete, lighting, and civils works.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards.
- Certification in quality control and assurance is a plus.
