Location: Ballina or Grafton, NSW, Australia
Type of Employment: 12 Month Temporary Contract on Hourly Rates
Salary: $80 - $120 per hour + Super
Job Description:
Transport for NSW is seeking a Civil Engineer to join their team to work on road maintenance projects for the Pacific Highway in Ballina or Grafton. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and organizing work crews from the office to working out on site conducting inspections and checking standards and deliverables. You will have the support of on-site delivery supervisors to ensure successful project delivery.

- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with standards and deliverables
- Work closely with project delivery supervisors to ensure project success
- Identify opportunities for improvements in work processes and project outcomes
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reports
- Provide technical advice and guidance to project team members
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience working on road maintenance projects is preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools
