Summary

An expanding tier 2 commercial builder with a strong reputation in the WA market is seeking a Contract Administrator to join their team. With a solid pipeline of projects secured, this role offers the opportunity to work on high-quality developments typically valued between $20m – $80m.

This position is ideal for a mid-level Contract Administrator with 2–5 years’ experience who is looking to further develop their career within a structured project environment.

There is a strong preference for candidates with experience delivering retail construction projects, including shopping centre developments, retail refurbishments, or retail-led mixed-use projects. 

The Role - Contract Administrator

Working closely with the Project Manager and Senior Contract Administrator, you will play a key role in the commercial management and administration of subcontract packages throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing subcontractor packages from procurement through to final accounts
  • Preparing scopes of work and managing tender and procurement processes
  • Negotiating and letting subcontract agreements
  • Assessing and processing subcontractor progress claims
  • Managing variations, cost tracking and reporting
  • Assisting with project forecasting and financial reporting
  • Working closely with site teams to ensure commercial and contractual matters are managed effectively
About You

To be considered for this role you will ideally have:
  • 2–5 years’ experience working as a Contract Administrator within commercial construction
  • Experience working on retail construction projects (shopping centres, retail refurbishments, or retail-focused developments)
  • Exposure to projects in the $20M – $80M range
  • Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • A degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or similar
