Job description
Opportunity
One of the NSW's best-known commercial and educational builders require an experienced No.1 site manager for what is a challenging $1.5M roof replacement and structural new build in Central West NSW.
Supported by an experienced Senior PM and quality Contract Administrator, the ideal candidate will be comfortable working in what is a live, fast-paced environment. Strong experience working in and around roofing, cladding and structural steel works will be considered desirable.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Site Manager with a head contractor
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and regulations
- Well-versed in Hammertech and possess strong communication skills
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Trade background (e.g., carpentry, electrical, plumbing) a must
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the build, ensuring it is executed within budget, timeline, and to the client's specifications
- Coordinate with various stakeholders including architects, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor progress and quality of work on-site, conducting regular inspections and addressing any issues or delays promptly.
- Manage and motivate a team of workers, providing guidance, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and industry standards
