CGC Recruitment are partnering with a leading Tier 1 Civil Contractor to appoint a Civil Site Engineer on an initial 6-month contract, supporting a strong pipeline of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Brisbane's North side.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven and motivated Site Engineer with 2+ years of on-site experience who is looking to further develop their career within major utilities infrastructure. There is clear potential for the role to transition into a permanent position based on performance.
The Role
 
Working across multiple projects at varying stages of the lifecycle, you will provide hands-on, site-based engineering support. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme and to a high standard of quality.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day site engineering support across water and wastewater projects
• Assisting with planning, sequencing and coordination of site activities
• QA documentation, ITPs, inspections and compliance tracking
• Managing subcontractors and site crews
• Reviewing drawings, resolving technical queries and liaising with designers
• Preparing and maintaining project documentation and reporting
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with safety and environmental standards

About You
 
We are seeking proactive and career-focused engineers who are eager to build their experience on complex infrastructure projects.
You will have:

• Degree qualification in Civil Engineering
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a site-based engineering role
• Experience delivering utilities infrastructure (water, wastewater, pipelines or associated works)
• Exposure to brownfield urban environments (highly regarded)
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• A hands-on, solutions-focused approach
