Site Engineer - Major Civil Infrastructure Project - 4 Month Contract - ASAP Start
We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join a major civil infrastructure project with a leading principal contractor. This is a 4-month contract role with an immediate start, offering the opportunity to work on a large-scale, technically challenging project delivering critical infrastructure.
The Role
You will play a key role supporting project delivery across bulk and detailed earthworks, concrete structures, detailed excavation, and utilities installation. Working closely with the Project Manager and site delivery team, you will ensure works are completed safely, on programme, and to specification.

The Role

Key Responsibilities
- Provide on-site engineering support across earthworks, detailed excavation, concrete, and utilities scopes
- Set out works and manage survey requirements
- Prepare and review ITPs, SWMS, and quality documentation
- Coordinate subcontractors and ensure compliance with project specifications
- Monitor construction progress and assist with short-term planning
- Manage RFIs, NCRs, and technical queries
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Liaise with project stakeholders, supervisors, and commercial teams
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience working for a principal contractor on major civil infrastructure projects
- Strong experience across earthworks, concreting, detailed excavation, and utilities
- Competent with set-out and interpretation of drawings and specifications
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment
