Full-Time CAD Operator Required | Microvellum | Commercial Joinery | South-Western Sydney | $80K - $100K + Super (DOE)

 
About the Role
A well-established commercial joinery manufacturer based in South-Western Sydney is seeking an experienced CAD Operator to join their growing team.
This is a full-time, permanent position working within a modern manufacturing environment, supporting the delivery of high-quality commercial fit-out and joinery projects across office, government, healthcare, retail and hospitality sectors.
You will play a key role in translating architectural documentation into detailed, production-ready shop drawings using Microvellum, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and seamless integration with manufacturing processes.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Produce detailed shop drawings using Microvellum
  • Interpret architectural and interior design drawings
  • Prepare production-ready documentation for CNC and factory use
  • Liaise with project managers, estimators and factory teams
  • Assist with material take-offs and technical problem solving
  • Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and timelines
  • Maintain drawing registers and revision control
 
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • Proven experience as a CAD Operator/Draftsperson within the joinery or cabinet-making industry
  • Strong working knowledge of Microvellum (essential)
  • Understanding of commercial joinery manufacturing processes
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Must reside in or be willing to commute to South-Western Sydney
