2:1 FIFO ex-Perth | Pilbara, WA | $220,000 Base (excl. super & STI)
An established Australian gold producer is seeking an experienced Senior Mine Surveyor to join its operations at a long-life open pit gold project in Western Australia's Pilbara region.
This is a key site-based leadership role, responsible for managing all mine surveying activities while leading a team of four survey personnel. The position is critical to ensuring statutory compliance, operational accuracy, and alignment with industry standards and best practice.

This is a key site-based leadership role, responsible for managing all mine surveying activities while leading a team of four survey personnel. The position is critical to ensuring statutory compliance, operational accuracy, and alignment with industry standards and best practice.
The Role
- Lead and mentor a team of mine surveyors on site
- Oversee survey control networks in accordance with WA Mine Survey Code of Practice
- Manage volume calculations, pit and stockpile surveys, and production reporting
- Grade control, ore delineation, blast hole surveys and reconciliation
- Maintain accurate site plans, survey records and production data
- Ensure engineered designs are set out and constructed to specification
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, compliance, and operational excellence
- Tertiary Degree or Diploma in Mining Surveying
- WA Authorised Mine Surveyor - Grade 2 or higher (essential)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in open pit mine surveying
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to guide and develop a survey team
- Strong working knowledge of modern survey equipment and software
- Excellent communication skills and a proactive, safety-first mindset
- $220,000 base salary (excluding superannuation and short-term incentives)
- 2:1 FIFO roster from Perth
