GC are working with an established Tier 1 Contractor who are involved in a game changing renewable energy project in regional QLD. This project is first of its kind and an important step in the move towards a more sustainable energy future.
 
Due to an increase in workload the project team have identified a critical need for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team on an initial contract basis.  Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager this site-based role will mainly involve will be putting together procurement packages to subcontractor but will also involve sub-contract management, contract negotiation and assessing progress claims and variations. 
 
The project will be Brisbane based but will involve site travel to cater for project demands so will suit driven Quantity Surveying professionals who like to get exposure to the practical elements of construction. The project is as complex as it gets and will offer the opportunity to gain exposure to a first of its kind project, leading the way for a more sustainable energy future. The role will also be working within an established construction team and will offer the right candidate an opportunity to work in an environment that offers, proper mentorship and progression to be a leader in commercial construction. 
 
Selection Criteria:
 
- Degree Qualified QS 
- 8 Years + experience 
- Civil Contracting Experience 
- Driven and motivated 
- Happy to work in remote environments 
- Excellent communicator
