The Company

We are currently working in partnership with an up-and-coming builder/developer based in Western Sydney. Specialising in combining the boutique luxury market with affordability they have already secured 4 new projects which are to be completed over the next 3 years. They have a range of projects on the horizon including mixed use residential, large scale hospitality and high-rise residential projects valued up $50m

The Position

As a part of the Senior management team you will be working closely with the Director to make sure that ongoing projects are being delivered safety, to a high standard, on time & within budget. It will also be part of your remit to up skills other members of staff by becoming a mentor and providing training when needed.

Responsibilities will include
  • Tendering / scoping trade packages
  • Programming 
  • Assessing any design issues 
  • Trade coordination
  • Variations assessment
  • Claims assessment
  • Document control / QA
  • Help project teams resolving issues
  • Help the other Project Managers with items they are not able to deal with on site
The ideal candidate will have delivered multiple projects (from start to finish) as a Project Manager and be willing and able to mentor / guide other members of staff inorder to become a senior member of staff

Ideal background
  • Have completed a tertiary qualification in construction or engineering and have demonstrated experience working in the residential market as a Project Manager
  • Have good buildability knowledge and be able to negotiate with subcontractors
  • The ability to speak Mandarin would be a huge advantage
  • Be a self-starter able to manage and plan your own workload
  • Have good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Project
  
Salary will depend on experience however figures $180,000 are achievable
