Job description

This client side organisation within the transport sector have recently had an increase in their current project portfolio and coupled with an ongoing capital works program, they have identified a number of upcoming requirements for specialist contract staff. One area where they have identified a need for project support is for a Senior Project Engineer to assist in the delivery of a wireless telecommunications role out on the NSW Network.

The position will involve provide planning, engineering, project management and/or site construction and providing technical advice to support the successful delivery of the project. On a day to day basis you will responsible for supporting the project manager in preperation the PMP and associated project documentation including safety plans, environmental plans, IWP, ITP and quality plans.

You will be also responsible for monitor and report project progress against the project plan including the progress against scope, schedule performance, quality, cost, earned value and estimates to ensure project is delivered to time, cost, safety and quality standards. 

One of the main challenges associated to this role will be directing an installation contractor to carry out work within a brownfield rail environment so both an understanding of the installation of rail systems (Cable Routes, Conduit Installation etc) and experienced in a delivery role in the NSW Rail Corridor is a must.

The role is a 18 month contract with works expected to be delivered in May of 2020.
