Job Title: Senior Project Engineer (Electrical Engineering Background) Company: Tier 1 Civil Contractor
Duration: Temporary Contract for 3 Months (with a possibility of extension)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to join our clients tender team for a large-scale water infrastructure bid, specifically for a desalination plant project. As a part of a Tier 1 Civil Contractor company, you will play a vital role in the success of this major project. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise and be a key player in delivering sustainable water solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the tender team to develop technical solutions and strategies for the desalination plant bid.
• Provide electrical engineering expertise to evaluate and assess project requirements, specifications, and standards.
• Conduct comprehensive feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk analyses related to electrical systems and infrastructure.
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and cost estimates for the electrical engineering scope of work.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical, and process engineers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Oversee the design, procurement, and installation of electrical equipment and systems.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement proactive measures to mitigate risks and ensure timely completion.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with project requirements and specifications.
• Provide technical support and guidance to the project team and address any issues or challenges that may arise during the project lifecycle.
• Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to electrical engineering standards and best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Senior Project Engineer, preferably in the field of water infrastructure or desalination plants.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering principles, standards, and codes.
• Experience in tendering processes and bid management for large-scale projects.
• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and subcontractors.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
• Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations related to water infrastructure projects.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
