We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Advisor to join our client, an NSW State government agency, on a contractual basis. 

• 7 month contract opportunity with NSW State Government
• $66.00 - $72.00 per hour + super
• Role commencing 1st December 2022
• Offices are based in Parramatta but the team are currently working from home

The Client
Our client is the primary environmental regulator for New South Wales. They partner with businesses, the federal government, and the community on matters related to energy and climate change.

Primary purpose of the role
The Senior Design Advisor provides support to the Government Architect and senior GANSW team to elevate the role of design, through collaboration, design management, design review, the development of publications and communication tools, research, report writing and monitoring and evaluation.

 
Responsibilities:

• Provide expert, professional and timely advice, consistent with the approach established by the Office on the design merits of proposals, projects and processes
• • Assist senior staff in the development and writing of policies and guidance notes elevating the role of design in the built environment, including support the proposed Design and Place State Environmental Planning Policy
• • Conduct desktop research and prepare written briefs, reports, schedules and other documents to support GANSW projects and initiatives
• • Liaise and engage with external and internal stakeholders to build collaborative working relationships and support the GANSW and ensure that deliverables are met, including contributing to the delivery public engagement activities
• • Initiate, select and manage project work performed by external contractors, consultants and providers where there is a need to source external expertise

• MUST HAVE:

• Previous Relevant experience
• Strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
