Join A national builder as a Senior Contracts Administrator (Contracts Manager)
Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Contracts Administrator (SCA), operating at a Contracts Manager level, to join our successful Queensland team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the contract administration on diverse and challenging commercial projects, starting with a significant $35M multi-level car park development in the Logan area.

About the Role
As the Senior Contracts Administrator, you will be the commercial backbone of your projects, managing all contractual and financial aspects from inception to completion. We are looking for an individual with proven experience in a Tier 2 construction environment who can confidently assume a senior leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contractual Management: Manage and administer all head contracts and subcontracts, ensuring strict adherence to contractual terms, specifications, and scope.
  • Procurement: Oversee the procurement process, including drafting scopes of work, compiling tender packages, conducting subcontractor negotiations, and managing contract finalisation.
  • Financial Control: Manage project financials, including budget control, variations (EOTs and cost claims), progress claims, payment certificates, and forecasting.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and proactively manage commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Reporting: Provide accurate and timely commercial reports to the Project Manager and Senior Management.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Project Manager, Site Manager, and wider project team to achieve successful project outcomes.
What You'll Bring
  • Experience: Proven track record as a Contracts Administrator in the Tier 2 Australian commercial construction market, with the demonstrable experience and gravitas to operate as a Contracts Manager.
  • Project Size: Experience successfully managing projects in the $20M to $50M range is highly desirable.
  • Education: A relevant degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or similar.
  • Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and written skills. Strong proficiency in contract administration software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Initiative: A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a strong commercial acumen and a commitment to best-practice processes.
  • QLD Knowledge: Familiarity with QLD legislation, subcontractors, and construction industry standards.
