Safety Officer – Contract (Up to 3 Months)

We are seeking an experienced Safety Officer for a short-term contract role on a new build construction project located in Macquarie Park. This is an ASAP start, with an initial contract of up to 3 months, and potential for extension based on project needs.
About the Role Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring site safety compliance and supporting the project team to maintain a strong safety culture throughout the build.
Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, codes, and site requirements
• Prepare and maintain SWMS, JHAs, and safety documentation
• Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
• Provide hands-on safety support to site management and trades

About You

• Previous experience as a Safety Officer on construction projects (new build experience preferred)
• Relevant WHS qualifications (Cert IV in WHS or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of NSW WHS legislation
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced site environment
• White Card required
