The Opportunity
  
Due to ongoing growth, my client is looking for an Intermediate to senior level Estimator to join their Newcastle team. You’ll take ownership of 1–2 tenders at a time, preparing detailed estimates and bid submissions while collaborating closely with the Estimating Manager, peers, and cadets.
  
This role will report into the QLD based Estimating Manager and be the sole Estimator for the Newcastle office. You will from time to time get involved in Contracts Administration work in downtime from tendering.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparing cost plans, take-offs, and tender submissions
  • Pricing prelims and assessing subcontractor pricing
  • Developing methodology, program, and bid strategy
  • Liaising with the project and delivery teams to ensure smooth handover
  • Light duties in Contracts Administration as required
About You
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying  or Construction Management
  • 5+ years estimating experience with a commercial builder
  • Sound understanding of local construction methods and trade pricing
  • Strong Buildsoft skills and solid subcontractor relationships
