Health & Safety Officer – Construction (Nowra) • Contract role through to end of 2025

• Work with a leading main builder
About the Role We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join our team on a key building project based in Nowra, NSW. This is a contract position through until the end of the year, with the potential for extension for the right candidate.
You’ll play a vital role in ensuring compliance with WHS legislation, maintaining site safety standards, and supporting our project teams to deliver a safe and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and promote safe work practices across the site
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits
• Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and company policies
• Lead toolbox talks and safety meetings
• Support incident investigations and reporting
• Provide advice and support to site and project management teams

About You

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar HSE role within construction
• Solid understanding of WHS legislation and construction safety requirements
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Relevant WHS qualifications (minimum Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety)
• Ability to start immediately and commit through to end of 2025
