Safety Adviser - 6 Month Contract (Immediate Start)
 
We are currently seeking an experienced Safety Adviser to support the close-out stages of a major, iconic city-based construction project. This is an immediate start, 6-month contract opportunity with a highly regarded Tier 1 contractor.
 
The Role
 
Working across multiple sites, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day, site-based safety activities during the final stages of construction. Scopes of work will be varied and include:

• Civil works
• Mechanical & Electrical (M&E)
• Building works
• Structural works

This is a hands-on, site-focused role requiring strong communication, leadership, and practical safety management skills.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Full oversight of day-to-day site safety operations
• Conducting site inspections, audits, and safety walks
• Supporting site teams to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and project safety systems
• Managing close-out safety documentation and final safety deliverables
• Incident management, reporting, and follow-up actions
• Engaging with subcontractors and stakeholders to maintain high safety standards

About You

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a Safety Adviser role within construction
• Proven experience working with a Tier 1 contractor
• Strong background across complex, multi-discipline construction environments
• Confident working autonomously across multiple sites
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and best practice safety systems
