I am currently working with a global consultancy of delay, quantum, technical and project management experts, advising the insurance and construction industries.

They are currently looking for a Regional Director to grow the Melbourne office in terms of headcount and billable work.
  
Experience –
Desirable and essential:

• Significant experience working for Tier 1 or 2 Contractors both Internationally and within the local market at a Senior Commercial Manager level;
• Experience working with or in a similar Consultancy Practice would be considered an advantage;
• Significant experience in preparing and developing strategic claims advice and claim submissions, including large claims associated with disputed variations, extensions of time, acceleration and disruption.
• Experience in training and development of junior staff;
• The candidate will already have a good network of relevant contacts in the Melbourne area (including in particular contractors and law firms) and will have the ability to generate fee earning work through this network;
• Great interpersonal skills and connected to the local market through networking events such as the Lighthouse Club, Society of Construction Law, RICS, CIArb, etc.

Qualifications – Desirable and essential:

• Preferably MRIC or FRICS and MCIArb or FCIArb
• Must have relevant degree, e.g. BSc (Hons) QS, Construction Management and Economics / Quantity Surveying.
• Possession of further qualifications, e.g. LLM or MSc is preferable.
