Job description

Our client are a Government Transport Organisation who have a first class reputation for building and maintaining effective railway networks. Due to the necessary upgrade of a number of existing assets and a need for interface representatives from external projects a need has been created for an experienced Rail Project Engineer to work on a contract basis.  

The role will involve developing detailed methodologies, resource plans and programs for a number of small to medium scale rail projects. This will involve planning numerous rail possessions and details access arrangement plans involving civil and track infrastructure. You will be expected to interface with delivery contractors and provide engineering strategies at a complex level.

The role is for an initial 6 months contract basis to support internal project teams during a busy period so applicants who will shortly be finishing a similar project are encouraged to apply. Projects will vary in size and scale with the main focus being around Track Infrastructure so a sound knowledge and proven background in the delivery of re-railing, turnout installation, ballasting type projects is a must.
