Job description

Our client are a multidisciplinary (Civil, Mechanical, Piping) Contractor who are involved in the delivery of complex Infrastructure, Resource and Renewable Energy projects. Due to market conditions they have had a ramp up in work load and have identified a need for a Commercial QS to join the business on a full time basis.

Reporting to the Commercial Manager your responsible your main responsibilities will include:

Tracking of plant, labour and material costs
Writing contractual correspondence for assessment of claims
Head Contract Progress Claims & Monthly Forecasting
Preparing Scope of Work Budget Estimates
Subcontractor procurement & post-contract management
Tracking and reporting on daily production costs & Cost Analysis of work activities
Preparation of Variation Proposals & Constraint Notice of Delay
Risk Management and Mitigation
Cost-saving initiatives
Certifying of Subcontractor Progress Claims and assessment of contractual Claims

The position will involve working on a FIFO roster so applicants should be willing and able to on remote construction sites on a camp style basis. To be considered for this role you will need the following experience:

Degree qualified Quantity Surveyor
Minimum 5 years Civil construction experience
Prior experience working for a mid tier contractor
Willing to work on a FIFO basis
Excellent communicator T
