CGC Recruitment are established experts in providing short term construction and engineering resources to main tier and mid-tier contractors and have again been approached by one of our clients to source a Quantity Surveyor to work on an immediate contract basis on one of QLDs most Iconic projects. 

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager this site based role will mainly involve will be putting together procurement packages to subcontractor but will also involve sub-contract management, contract negotiation and assessing progress claims and variations. Scope of works will include excavation works (pilling, rock anchors, shotcrete), concrete structures, building works and services. 

The section of the project is moving into a peak period of construction so this is an immediate need for an initial 3 month period so applicants need to be tried and tested in contractual/commercial matters working in a brownfield environment.  As of the nature of the work this opportunity would suite a driven QS who may be in between projects or interested in setting up as an ABN sole trader to provide engineering expertise on projects across QLD. Rate of pay will depend on experience and will range between $500-750day + Super.
