Project Mechanical Engineer - Water Infrastructure
Location: Sydney, NSW
Contract: 4-Month Temporary (with view to extension or permanent)
Start: ASAP

We are currently seeking a Project Mechanical Engineer to join a leading civil and water infrastructure contractor on an initial 4-month contract, with strong potential for extension or transition to a permanent role.
You will play a key role in supporting the delivery of a range of water infrastructure and pumping station projects across the Sydney region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design, coordination, and delivery of mechanical systems for water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Manage procurement, installation, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
  • Support construction teams with technical input and site engineering requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with design standards, specifications, and safety requirements.
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure project milestones are achieved.
Key Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience on water infrastructure, treatment plants, or pumping station projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping, pumps, and process equipment.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Available to start immediately and work across multiple Sydney-based sites.
