Our clients' role is to actively grow and manage the supply of the right types of housing, at the right time, in the right areas, for people in need in our communities.

They manage the largest portfolio in Australia, with over 125,000 properties, valued at $51 billion. Each day, they manage 1,750 requests for maintenance at a cost of $1m per day.

They are currently looking to engage a Project Manager - Compliance Until 30 June 2023 based in Parramatta.

The Compliance Project Manager will be responsible for managing a team of compliance auditors and project officers in the compliance team to deliver the Asset Compliance programs for LAHC that meet client expectations within the budget, timeframe and quality parameters .

These programs include;
Vacant Restoration Program, Fire Safety Program, Property Assessment Survey (PAS) Program, Detailed Property Assessment Surveys (DPAS) Program, Change of Use (COU) program and the like.
The Compliance Project Manager will also lead, manage and respond to any ad hoc requests related to compliance and regulations.

Key accountabilities
  • Lead the design, briefing, resourcing, implementation and coordination of compliance related programs of work with the compliance team to deliver effective business unit outcomes and meet client service delivery needs.
  • Establish the approaches, systems, processes and practices for project reports and documentation for Directors and key stakeholders to communicate the program performance levels.
  • Lead and identify needs for research and provide project-driven direction and support for auditing policies, plans and procedures to contribute to enhanced practice and continuous improvement.
  • Provide project advice, specialist project support, analysis, issues/complaints coordination and process awareness to the Principal Compliance Manager to work effectively with new suppliers, contractors, consultants and panel suppliers as required to ensure client satisfaction, timeliness and efficiency in project delivery and implementation.
  • Manage and oversee compliance-based aspects of projects and implementations, including developing and monitoring project plans, coordinating resources, quality assurance auditing and monitoring budgets to ensure successful project milestones are met.
  • Establish, share and generate opportunities within the team to obtain a working knowledge of the various compliance programs in LAHC and a functional awareness of the standards, systems, approaches, requirements and stakeholders associated with each through meetings and regular connections between the audit team.
  • Lead collaborative team discussions to provide advice and feedback on audits outcomes, solutions and project progress related to the programs delivered by LAHC and as requested by manager(s).
  • Analyse, report and summarise project progress advice, reports, commentary and solutions to compliance project issues to key stakeholders in a manner that contributes to positive relationship building and supports an ongoing effective and efficient working environment.
  • Collate the audit findings in collaboration with Compliance Auditors and develop relevant training programs for the external resources.
  • Manage the effective and compliant procurement processes to establish the required resources and administer the relevant Contracts as per the program requirements in order to efficiently deliver the desired program outcomes.
  • Continuously monitor the program performance and implement risk mitigation strategies to manage delivery risk in consultation with the Principal Compliance Manager.

  • Qualification in Engineering, Architectural, Project/Business management or related Construction discipline
