Project Manager (Contract – Up to 6 Months) Newcastle, NSW | ASAP Start | Small Builder | Site & Office Based
We are a well-established residential builder based in the Newcastle region seeking an experienced Project Manager for a contract role of up to 6 months, commencing immediately.
This is a hands-on role overseeing a small new build project along with a small number of concurrent residential builds. You will split your time between site and office, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
About the Role Reporting directly to the Director, you will be responsible for:

Managing end-to-end delivery of residential new build projects
Coordinating trades, suppliers, and subcontractors
Programming and scheduling works
Monitoring budgets and cost control
Ensuring compliance with building codes and WHS requirements
Liaising with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
Conducting regular site inspections and quality assurance checks
Managing variations and maintaining project documentation

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

Proven experience as a Project Manager within residential construction
Strong knowledge of small-scale new build projects
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Strong understanding of Australian building standards and WHS
Relevant building qualifications (preferred)
Valid driver’s licence
