Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise and develop production teams to achieve daily and weekly output targets
- Ensure strict compliance with Australian food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and workplace health & safety (WHS) standards
- Manage production scheduling and workflow to optimise efficiency and minimise downtime
- Monitor KPIs, labour performance, yield, and waste reduction
- Maintain quality standards in line with customer and regulatory requirements
- Oversee staff training, performance management, and workforce planning
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience in a Production Manager or similar leadership role
- Experience within the meat processing or food manufacturing industry (highly regarded)
- Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety standards, and Australian WHS legislation
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement
