We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead operations within our busy and fast-paced meat production facility.

About the Role
As Production Manager, you will take ownership of the day-to-day running of production operations, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and product quality across all processes. You will lead and develop a production team while driving performance against key operational targets.
This role is critical in maintaining our high standards of food safety, workplace safety, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, supervise and develop production teams to achieve daily and weekly output targets
  • Ensure strict compliance with Australian food safety regulations, HACCP principles, and workplace health & safety (WHS) standards
  • Manage production scheduling and workflow to optimise efficiency and minimise downtime
  • Monitor KPIs, labour performance, yield, and waste reduction
  • Maintain quality standards in line with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee staff training, performance management, and workforce planning
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the production floor
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Proven experience in a Production Manager or similar leadership role
  • Experience within the meat processing or food manufacturing industry (highly regarded)
  • Strong understanding of HACCP, food safety standards, and Australian WHS legislation
  • Demonstrated ability to manage teams in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership capabilities
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a focus on continuous improvement
