CGC Recruitment is partnering with a Tier 2 contractor with a strong foothold in the utilities and water infrastructure sector. With a reputation built over 15+ years, they are one of the East coasts respected civil contractors, known for delivering complex infrastructure projects.
Due to the recent award of major Icon Water projects in the $10M-$30M range, they are seeking a Senior Project Manager with deep experience in water infrastructure to lead project delivery across Canberra.
The Role
You will lead the end-to-end delivery of Water infrastructure works—managing design, stakeholder engagement, subcontractors, budgets, and on-site execution. The projects involve pipeline installation, pump stations, civil structures, and utility relocations.
This is a critical leadership role that combines site presence with commercial oversight and strategic input.

Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Water projects from pre-contracts through to handover
- Oversee design development, procurement, subcontractor management, and cost reporting
- Ensure full compliance with icon Water specifications and safety standards
- Manage and mentor a team including Engineers, CAs, and Supervisors
- Maintain strong relationships with Icon Water / its delivery partner and key stakeholders
- Identify and mitigate project risks early in the delivery process
- 10+ years' experience in civil construction, including recent experience as Senior PM
- Proven track record delivering water/utilities projects up to $50M
- Strong understanding of Icon / Sydney Water specs and delivery processes
- Experience working with Tier 2 or Tier 3 civil contractors
- Excellent stakeholder and team management skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management (preferred)
- Work with a global civil contractor on secured Icon Water projects
