Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning & Management
- Manage multiple concurrent projects across exhibitions, pop-ups, retail displays, and commercial joinery
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and budgets
- Coordinate and oversee all stages of project execution from briefing, design approvals, manufacturing through to on-site delivery and installation
- Ensure all project milestones are met, and any issues are resolved swiftly
- Act as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensure accurate translation of client briefs into deliverables
- Provide regular updates and clear communication around timelines, progress, and risks
- Work closely with in-house design, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless delivery
- Liaise with external suppliers, contractors, and installation teams to coordinate site access, deliveries, and site safety
- Monitor project budgets and costs, and report on profitability
- Issue project variations as needed, ensuring client sign-off
- Manage purchase orders and liaise with the internal accounts team
- Ensure all projects meet quality and safety standards
- Review and sign off on project documentation, technical drawings, and site plans
- Conduct site inspections to ensure delivery is in line with specifications and standards
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience (3-5+ years) in project management within a manufacturing, construction, fit-out, or events environment
- Solid understanding of joinery, exhibitions, or display build processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Exceptional organisational and communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- High attention to detail and a strong focus on delivering premium outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualification in Project Management, Construction Management, Industrial Design, or similar
- Previous experience working on creative or branded environments (retail, events, exhibitions)
- Proficiency in project scheduling tools or ERP systems (e.g. Smartsheet, SimPRO, or similar)
