CGC Recruitment are established experts in providing short term construction and engineering resources to main tier and mid-tier contractors and have again been approached by one of our clients to source a site based Civil Project Engineer to assist in the delivery of the Signalling scope. 

The role will involve managing multiple contractors to oversee the delivery of the Signalling scope of works and interfacing with Track constriction team in a greenfield rail environment. The signalling system being installed is not an complicated digital system so the bulk of that scope will be trenching, pit & pipe installation and CSR routes. The position will involve being responsible for resource planning, developing construction methodologies, administering contracts, managing subcontractors and managing project risk.

We are looking to speak to driven and motivated Civil Project Engineers who have delivered projects involving Cable Supply Routes in an environment such as Rail, Mining or Road Construction. The role is in a remote location of QLD so it will involve working on a FIFO basis so applicants should be accustomed to working in this type of environment. The contract is a 6 month contract on a 2/1 roster and will be an attractive all up day rate of up to $1000/day + super.

Selection Criteria: 

- Minimum 5 years post graduate experience 

- Must have experience delivering project involving pit & pipe works 

- Prior experience in the rail corridor will be a distinct advantage

- Must have the drive to push forward subcontractors

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
