Job description

This Mid Tier Civil Contractor focus on the delivery of Civil Infrastructures project in the mining space delivering scopes such as Bulk Earthworks and Concrete Structures. They have a proven reputation of delivering projects to quality, time and budget and have an existing client base developed over 20 years. 

They have recently been awarded a number of packages of work as part of a major project in QLD and have identified the need for a Project Engineer to assist in the delivery of one of their projects over a 6 month duration. As of the instability of the current market due to COVID 19 this organisation are looking for expressions of interest for an incumbent to deliver the project on a causal contract basis in opposed to a full time position as of the risk associated with the next few weeks/months.

The role will report directly to the Senior Management and responsibility will involve; prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects. In addition to this you will perform quality control (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status. Interact daily with clients and represent them in the field. 

Selection criteria: 

- Minimum of 5 years on site engineering experience
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent 
- Prior experience working for a contractor on scopes of work such as bulk earthworks 
- Must possess valid Coal Board Medical and Standard 11
- Flexible on working rosters 



The role is on a 21/7 FIFO Roster and it is mandatory the applicants should possess an up to date QLD Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 as the the causal nature of the engagement. Site works will be looking to kick off towards the middle of May.
