CGC Recruitment are established experts in providing short term construction and engineering resources to main tier and mid-tier contractors in Brisbane. We currently have 20+ contract staff working on our books actively engaged in some of QLDs most exciting projects and tenders. We have again been engaged by a major Joint Venture who require critical site-based Project Engineering support until the end of the year.
 
The position will be involved in the beginning phases of the project, primarily focusing on site establishment and early construction works. Working in conjunction with the Senior PE on site the first 3-4 weeks will be office based developing construction methodologies, procurement, reviewing designs and developing work packs. From there works will head into delivery with the bulk of the work involving the management of subcontractors. Scope of works will include, civils, excavation, utility relocation works and drainage. 
 
It is an immediate start for an initial 12 week period and will be suited to an Engineer who is in between contracts and is looking for a short-term opportunity. Or if someone is looking to get a foot in the door with a Tier 2 Contractor on an iconic Infrastructure project, now is the time as the scope to continued work is very strong! 
 
Selection Criteria: 
 
- Civil Engineering Degree
- 5 Years Post Graduate Experience
- Proven experience delivering civil construction project (road, rail or utilities) 
- Team player and able to make key decisions 
- Tier 1 or Tier 2 Contracting experience is essential 
- Strong communicator and ability to work independently
