CGC are working closely with a Brisbane based Civil Contractor who specializing in pipeline construction, culvert construction, shaft construction, pipe jacking & tunnelling, bulk earthworks, roadworks, demolition and general plant hire. They are growing from strength to strength in the local market and due to this growth have identified a new requirement for a Project Engineer to join the business on a full-time basis. 
 
As Project Engineer you will report to the Project Manager and the full will have a balance of office and site-based duties. Responsibility will involve; prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects. In addition to this you will perform quality control (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status. Interact daily with clients and represent them in the field.
 
All of their projects are based in and around SE QLD so will offer the right applicant an opportunity to work on complex local project in the Brisbane area and as of the nature of the work, will allow for a great deal of autonomy and rapid career growth that you don't always experience with Tier 1s! 
 
The role will be suited to a dynamic quick-thinking engineer who thrives in a face paced construction environment and is keen to challenge themselves delivering bespoke local projects.  
 
Selection Criteria: 

• 3+ years' post-graduate experience as a Project Engineer / Site Engineer on similar civil works (ideally pipelines, culverts, trenchless/pipe jacking or complex earthworks/roadworks).
• Proven delivery of work packages from start-up, commissioning/as-built under live site conditions.
• Hands-on knowledge of QA/ITPs, temporary works, dewatering, traffic control interfaces and service clashes.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-moving, results-driven environment where priorities change
