Civil Project Engineer - Contract
Tier 1 Civil Contractor | Sunshine Coast
We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join a Tier 1 Civil Contractor on a contract basis for a high-profile road infrastructure project on the Sunshine Coast. This is an excellent opportunity to work on an iconic local project, offering a rewarding day rate and the chance to contribute to a major upgrade within the region.

The Project
The scope of works involves the expansion of an existing roadway, including:
- Bulk civil works
- Drainage
- Pavements
- Resealing
The Role
Reporting directly to the Construction Manager on site, you will be responsible for the full range of day-to-day project engineering duties, including but not limited to:
- Coordination of site activities and subcontractors
- Programming and short-term planning
- Quality assurance and ITP management
- Cost tracking and reporting
- Procurement and material coordination
- Liaison with site teams, consultants, and stakeholders
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Proven experience as a Project Engineer on civil infrastructure projects
- Strong knowledge of road construction, drainage, pavements, and resealing works
- Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced site environment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Local to the Sunshine Coast or able to commute daily
- Contract role with a Tier 1 contractor
- Competitive day rate
- Opportunity to work on a highly visible local infrastructure project
- Immediate start available at the end of February
