Project Engineer – Contract (3–6 Months) $40m Residential Project | Tier 2 Builder | Sydney
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a well-established Tier 2 builder to help deliver the final stages of a $40m residential project in Sydney.
This is a contract role (3–6 months) with an ASAP start, ideal for a Project Engineer who is confident stepping into an active site and driving the project through to completion.
The Role Reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Site Team, you will be responsible for supporting the close-out and delivery of the project, ensuring quality, programme and cost objectives are met.
Key responsibilities include:

• Managing subcontractors and coordinating trades onsite
• Assisting with programme management and short-term lookaheads
• Reviewing and managing RFIs, shop drawings and design coordination
• QA documentation, inspections and defect management
• Cost control support, variations and progress claims
• Using Procore to manage project documentation and workflows
• Supporting commissioning, handover and project close-out activities

About You

• Degree qualified in Engineering or Construction Management
• Previous experience as a Project Engineer on residential or mixed-use projects
• Experience working with a Tier 2 or similar commercial builder
• Strong working knowledge of Procore systems
• Confident communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Available to start immediately or at short notice
