Civil Project Engineer (Contract)
Tier 1 Civil Contractor | Iconic Infrastructure Project
 
We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer to join a Tier 1 Civil Contractor on a contract basis, working on a major infrastructure upgrade.
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on Project Engineer who can hit the ground running and is looking to be part of a high-profile, fast-paced civil project.
 
The Project
 
The scope of works involves the expansion of an existing roadway, including:

• General civil works
• Drainage
• Pavement construction
• Resealing

The project is located approximately 2 hours' drive from Brisbane, with accommodation provided on site. The working roster is Monday to Friday. The project is scheduled to commence at the end of February and will run for approximately 5 months.
 
The Role
 
Reporting directly to the Construction Manager on site, you will be responsible for the full suite of day-to-day project engineering duties, including but not limited to:

• Managing construction activities to programme and budget
• Coordinating subcontractors and suppliers
• Reviewing and managing ITPs, methodologies, and quality documentation
• Cost tracking, progress reporting, and forecasting
• Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements
• Supporting the site team to ensure successful project delivery

About You
 
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer on civil infrastructure projects (roadworks experience highly regarded)
• Strong knowledge of drainage, pavement, and general civil works
• The ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly in a live construction environment
• Availability to start late February
