Our client is one of Australia’s largest and most respected construction companies, is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Engineer to join their Brisbane team.

We are looking for a high-calibre individual to initially contribute to a landmark $100 million healthcare refurbishment project located on the south side of Brisbane. This is a significant, complex project offering a fantastic opportunity to showcase your technical skills and project management capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
As a Project Engineer, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of the project, working closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager. Your duties will include:
  • Engineering and Technical Support: Providing essential technical advice and engineering solutions on site.
  • Subcontractor Management: Assisting in the coordination, supervision, and management of subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Quality Assurance: Implementing and monitoring quality control systems to ensure work meets specifications and high Hutchies standards.
  • Programme Management: Monitoring and updating the project programme, ensuring key milestones are met.
  • Procurement: Managing the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Documentation: Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including RFI’s, site instructions, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
  • Safety: Championing site safety, ensuring compliance with all WHS regulations.
What You'll Bring
  • A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer, preferably within the Australian construction industry.
  • Prior experience with refurbishment, health, or complex live environment projects is highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong understanding of construction methodology, WHS, and quality management systems.
  • A proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
