With a strong pipeline of exciting projects and continued growth, an opportunity now exists for a driven and experienced Production Operations Manager to lead their manufacturing and production operations team.
  
About the Role
Reporting directly to senior management, the Production Operations Manager will oversee all aspects of day-to-day factory operations, ensuring seamless coordination between production, design, and project delivery teams.
You’ll be responsible for planning, resourcing, quality, and safety, ensuring that all manufactured components are delivered on time, to specification, and to the highest standard.
This is a hands-on leadership role where your technical expertise, organisational skills, and ability to motivate a skilled team will directly impact the success of each project.
  
Key Responsibilities

  • Production Planning & Scheduling:
    Develop and manage production schedules to meet project timelines and delivery targets across multiple concurrent builds.
  • Operational Leadership:
    Lead and mentor production staff (joiners, machinists, assemblers, logistics), promoting accountability, efficiency, and teamwork.
  • Quality Assurance:
    Ensure all products meet design, aesthetic, and functional specifications. Conduct regular quality checks and implement improvement actions.
  • Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
    Maintain a safe, compliant workshop environment. Oversee inductions, audits, and adherence to WHS procedures.
  • Inventory & Resource Management:
    Manage procurement, materials, and consumables to support uninterrupted production. Monitor costs and minimise waste.
  • Process Improvement:
    Identify opportunities for workflow optimisation, productivity gains, and cost efficiencies through lean manufacturing principles.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration:
    Liaise with project managers, designers, and site teams to ensure production aligns with installation and delivery requirements.
  • Reporting & Budgeting:
    Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for production efficiency, cost control, and output. Provide regular reports to senior management.
  
About You
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
  • Proven leadership experience within a joinery, cabinetry, manufacturing, or fit-out environment
  • Strong production planning and scheduling capability
  • Hands-on understanding of fabrication, assembly, and installation processes
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A proactive approach to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • The ability to balance operational management with on-the-ground involvement
  • Relevant trade qualifications or experience in joinery/cabinetmaking will be highly regarded.
