Our client is a Mid-Tier Civil Contractor who are now have a proven reputation of delivering complex projects to the value of $25ml both in QLD and nationally across Australia. They are an Australian owned company who pride themselves on quality delivery outcomes and a working culture unrivaled by any business across the Eastern Seaboard.
 
They have x2 key areas of project focus, firstly being Government Projects primarily around Roads and Defence and secondly, they have an ever-growing presence in the Central QLD Mining sector which would account for around 35% of the business. They are growing organically as a business and have identified a key requirement for a Pre-Contracts Manager to join the business and become a part of their established senior leadership team.
 
The role will have accountability across the whole of pre-contracts and estimating so will involve Estimating Manager responsibilities such as managing Senior & Junior Estimators, Dealing with sub-contractors and suppliers and clarifying their quotations regarding compliance with specifications and relevant standards and preparing post submission responses. In addition to this, the role also requires someone who can create strategic and problem-solving front-end solutions and can be involved with activities such as negotiating sub-contract packages, leading workshops and client interfaces, providing input into traffic management plans and optimizing bid submission.
