Our client is a globally recognised project management consultancy with a strong presence across Australia and a reputation for delivering complex, high-impact construction projects. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the QLD State Director, playing a pivotal part in the early phases of project planning and delivery.
About the Role:
As the Pre-Construction Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert in the front-end delivery of major projects across the Defence, Government, and Commercial sectors. You'll work alongside Tier 1 institutions, clients, and government bodies, taking the lead on scoping, costing, and shaping construction solutions across QLD and the NT.

About the Role:
As the Pre-Construction Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert in the front-end delivery of major projects across the Defence, Government, and Commercial sectors. You'll work alongside Tier 1 institutions, clients, and government bodies, taking the lead on scoping, costing, and shaping construction solutions across QLD and the NT.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead costing, feasibility, and planning of upcoming projects
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to shape early-stage project strategies
- Prepare budgets, cost plans, and tender documentation
- Provide commercial insight and value engineering advice
- Partner with Tier 1 builders, consultants, and stakeholders to drive best-for-project outcomes
- Support bids, proposals, and pipeline development
- Lead a team of QS, Estimators & PMs
- 2IC to the QLD state Director
- Proven experience in pre-construction, cost planning, and estimating
- At least 5 years in the above roles working with contractors or consultancies
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Construction Management, Quantity surveying, or a similar field
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of procurement strategies
- Background in Defence, Government, or Commercial sectors preferred
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and communicate technical information clearly
- Willingness to travel to NT as required
